Rated 5 out of 5 by Economy Fish Fish Finder My fishing buddy and I got one of these to try a few months ago on our pond boat. Works well from the git go, and is easy to program (once you read the instructions). Small cone, but it does read out fish, depths, and various structure, and temp. We're always experimenting - this unit does what its supposed to and we like it. December 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by My First Fish Finder I like this unit very much. Who could ask for any thing more? This gives me water temp, depth, contours etc. I can even program it to weed out small fish. I love that it tells me the depth of the fish also. The only draw back is that the C clamp fell apart on the second day that I used it.. The plunger end came off so I used a wooden shim so it wouldn't mark the boat and made it hold better. June 10, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good depth bad bracket The bracket did not fit on my boat so we tied it on to the side of.the boat. The depth finder was very accurate as we needed it to be while drifting in the shallows so we would not get stuck overall good product just need a wider bracket July 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Purchase The product got to me on time as promised. I have been well satisfied with the fish finder so far. In looking back, I wish I had chosen the 120 or the 130, it was kind of hard in the pictures and info to determine the difference between them. I would have preferred one with side view but this one works fine. I will up grade to one of the others next time. The follow up and tracking was great. I did enjoy being able to look on line and make the purchase that way. July 13, 2011

A:
The Fishin' Buddy 110 is a Single Beam sonar unit with a 34 degree beam which reads down underneath you. The information that comes in on the right side of the display is directly underneath you and as it progresses further to the left it becomes your history. Meaning what you've gone over. To determine your area of coverage on the bottom, use the following formula. Ex: Depth x . 45 for bottom coverage in diameter.

The only model that you could put on that portable mount system would be another unit of the same type. No other model would be compatible.

As it goes over structure it reads from left to right. How do you know where the the sonar is located on the screen. Does the far right of the screen (the newest incoming date) mean thats where you are at or does it space out and it means you are in the middle of the screen

You should be able to add to your Coleman Crawdad Boat. Just make sure to always operate the boat at very slow speeds if you suspect
shallow water or submerged objects. Thanks

It won't tilt much. When running even with the electric, we loosen the clamp and lift it out, then slide it back in again.
The shaft unit is not real big, but when moving there is alot of water pressure against it. Better to be safe.

A:
No, you will want to remove the Fishin´ Buddy® from the mounting bracket support arm ring when the boat is traveling. Use the Fishin´ Buddy® at trolling speed only. Traveling at high speed with the Fishin´ Buddy® attached can cause damage to this device.

Thanks!

Yes, this will show details of the bottom surfaces. However, underwater conditions vary greatly, so some experience and interpretation is needed to realize all the benefits of the Fishin’ Buddy.

Requires six alkaline "AA" size batteries (not included) for operation. Cannot hook up to a 12v boat battery. NOTE: Continuous backlight operation will significantly decrease the battery life for the Fishin´ Buddy.

Battery Life (Backlight Off):
110/120/130 Fishin’ Buddy®: 30 hours
140c Fishin’ Buddy®: 16 hours
