Locknuts stripped out on u bolts, not high enough for my brand new Super Guide V-16 Tracker. First time I loaded it these things peeled the tracker stickers and gunnels rode up over these guides. They sit about 1" above gunnels when on trailer. When in the water the boat floats higher therefore useless for my application. My fault for not measuring first. The fix: Took off those yellow covers and slid 3" PVC over the post 36" tall with cap. Drilled one holes per side and bolted to keep them on. Now they work.

This is a great product, strong enough to center a heavy boat, does not mar finish, and looks good.

A 25 ft boat may have to much weight. If it were not windy nor boat traffic to heavy would probably center your boat. BUT if were windy or very rough waters coming in at an angle would probably be damaged (bent).A:Â
