I just bought a Team Realtree Ultralight 175 along with the cranking device. Bass Pro was good enough to match the recommended device with this crossbow, The device is bulky and heavy for sure, but it does work, However you have to be careful that it is fullly seated on the crossbow stock and hold it there because it isn not a great fit. It could have been designed better. As with most things it becomes easier to use in time, It is no better or worse than other cockers I have seen, and it is removable which is a plus to my way of thinking,

This crank not suited to carry into the field. Too lage and bulky. The stock is damaged everytime this crank is slid onto the stock and cranked. I have used this on a Horton Vision 175. This crank does not keep even tension on the cocking cords. The cocking slide continues to jam while cocking. I have to made several attemps to cock this crossbow with this system. Too time consuming and akward. Is unusable in a tree stand.

This crank leaves a lot to be disired. After waiting almost 2 years for this crank to come out after the crossbow was released I am not impressed. To use it each time you must slide the buttplate off and slide the cocker in place. The oversized handle is held on with 2 allen screws. When you try to pull the cord out to hook to the string the handle spins around as the rope come out and is in the way while trying to set up for cocking the bow, Horton should have had an over the stock mount for this cocker just like their other earlier models. It would have made things much easier. Also they should have had a removeable handle that just slid on and off the cocker like previous models. All in all I was not impressed after waiting so long for this new over priced model to come out for the Team Real Tree Ultra Lite model that I purchased.

does it have to be removed between shots?Answers
A:Â
Yes it does, but that is an advantage because the bow weight is kept light. However, you do have to carry it along with you in your pack or elsewhere. The cocker itself is a little unwieldy, but it surely does the job. Be sure you buy the right one for your bow as there are 3 different models.Answers
