Hornady Varmint Express Ammo
Perfect Varmint Load
I started shooting the 50-grain Moly Coated loads in my 22-250 about 6 years ago and have never looked back. Through my Savage Model 12 they give me groups that rival the handloads that all my buddies shoot, but they are extremely affordable. The downrange performance they provide is astounding. Prairie dogs are literally vaporized. Coyotes drop on the spot. If I can see it, I can kill it with these flat shooting loads.

Great bang for your buck
Excellent ammo, one of the best on the market today, if you are going for tight groups this it, have to compare against hornady superformance, but for now there is nothing better for my rifle.

I use it in all of my centerfires. Seems to be the most accurate of the commercially available ammo and is reasonalbly priced.

very accurate, disappointing knockdown
I was very impressed with the accuacy of this ammo in my AR-15, but coyotes laugh at it. It took 2 good hits to put a coyote down at 75 yds. The first shot busted him right behind the left shoulder and knocked him down, he then proceeded to get back up, and slowly run away. A followup shot was pretty easy, but with most other .223 ammo I've used on coyotes, it's taken only 1 hit to put the coyote down immediately.
I won't be using the 40 grain for coyotes any more, because I don't like running the risk of having an injured animal get away and die later in pain.
