You just can't miss These are by far the best slug ever to come out of my CVA Kodiak. When everyone talks about Tack Driving – believe it. I'm a poor shooter, but with the 250 grain Hornady SST-ML powered by two Hodgdon Triple Seven Pellets I'm out shooting every gun on the range even the modern ones. Knock down power – one word “Devastating”. I shot two deer in PA in the fall of 11 and neither went more than thirty yards. I put my slug chucking shotgun away in MA and used these with the exact same results. Now I need a another freezer. February 10, 2012
great deer load I use a 300 Grain Hornady SST in 50 Caliber. Great result tell the tale. View the attached picture of the 180 Pound 9 Pointer I killed with this load. He only ran about 35 yards. I shot through brush and thickets and I still managed to knock him down. February 27, 2012
Quality bullet I have killed 2 deer in 2014 with the ML to this point. I dropped a doe where she stood and an 8pt. ran about 40 yards from where he was shot. So far I have not been able to find an exit wound. I am getting a lot of blood from the entrance wound which is good but I am a little concerned about the exit. The bullets are a little hard to load in my pro hunter . From all of the other reviews I thought that they might be easier. I am very satisfied with the purchase however. God has blessed me with quality deer and shots. I am very thankful and blessed!! November 12, 2014
BEST BULLET EVER I shoot the 300 grain sst with 100 gr of pyrodex pellets out of my traditions pursuit ambush and i can shoot 3 bullets in the same hole at 50 yards. The performance on deer is absolutly amazing. I shot a buck a few days ago with this bullet at about 50 yards and he went strait down and didnt move. Upon examination i found an exit hole the size of a golf ball and chunks of bone and lung splattered all over trees and leaves 15 yards behind the deer. It did ruin some meat but the deer died very quickly and thats more important. If you want the most accurate and most devestating bullet, this is the one for you. It also loads extremely easy.
