Picked up a few of these for use in a Kimber Solo as a break in rounde suggested online. Gun ran flawlessly through an entire box. First time shooting pistol and accuracy was acceptable from short barreled pistol. I am happy with price and service was outstanding at Bass Pro.

Bought a new scout 44mag rifel and sighted in gun with this ammo. dead on at 100 yards . went out and shot 2 does at 40yards the next day. Then on the next day my hunting buddy downed a big 14 point right thru the shoulder . at 60 yards . this ammo proved to me it can do the job..

This ammo was very accurate and is very clean to shoot. The mushroom upon impact is amazing. It also packs a great punch so it is very capable of being used for self defence.

if so , in 357 mag or 38 special?Answers
A:Â
.357 mag. would be bare minimum to hunt deer up close. Better to go with .44 mag. in a hand gun with Hornady ammo.A:Â
YES, i killed 2 does and my buddy killed a really nice 14 point a big body deer at 60 yards thru the sholderA:Â
It would not be a "good" option but it would work in .357. Check with your state but .357 is usually the minimum power requirement for deer. The Hornandy custom would be a good selection for hunting if you HAD to use .357. You would want at least a 6" barrel to get enough velocity. Hope that helpsA:Â
MOST STATES HAVE A CALIBER MININUM, USUALLY A .357 MAG IS THE SMALLEST MOST STATES WILL ALLOW YOU TO USE. A 44 MAG WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER CHOICEA:Â
.357 mag is the only powerful enough cartridge for deer at close range.A:Â
I hate to answer with a question, but...At what range? As you probably know, velocity drops quick after the bullet reaches the muzzle and even faster past 50 yards.
The .357 hollow points will deliver excellent energy and expansion out to 50 yards. The .38 will deliver similar velocity, but since the mass of the bullet is lower, you won't likely get adequate energy for a kill.
