Great grip; poor description
I love this grip, and it is exactly what I wanted for my Ruger Blackhawk. However, Bass Pro has the wrong info on the web site and the catalog. The model that fits a Blackhawk is not the same model that fits a Super Blackhawk. The one for the Blackhawk is actually the one that Bass Pro has listed as only the Single Six model. I had to mail mine back (at $$$ cost to me) and order a new one. I tried to explain the problem to their customer service reps, but nothing has changed on the web site, and I don't think they even understand what the problem is. So, overall, this is a great grip, but watch out for Bass Pro's mistakes.

Much more control
Bought the grip for my Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter. Great gun but I was having a hard time controlling it. After replacing the standard cowboy action grips witht the Hogue grip I have much more control on it. Went from a wide cluster and occasionally of the paper before the new grips to a nice tight pattern at 50 yards, often keeping around 4 inches. Also helps reduce kick and brings it down faster for a second shot. My 15 year old son is much happier with it too, he can get 5 rounds in the inner three rings at 25 yards consistantly. Changed out easy and wasn't hurt by the price tag.

Great product, price and service!
BassPro's on-line ordering is a very fast and easy way to get items not found in their stores. With today's high gas prices I have found that the shipping charges are usually less than what it would cost for the round trip, so that adds to the savings and convenience! The monogrip is not only well made but the stirrup mounting system that Hogue has allows for easy mounting of the grip and it is secure. I bought a S&W grip to replace the wooden factory one on my 1970's Astra revolver and the fit is nearly perfect. The result has been a great improvement in handling as the gun recoils.
