The Hi-Tec hiking boots that I just purchased are a great value. These boots are very comfortable when hiking threw the woods. The waterproofing is also very good. I do a lot of bear hunting witch calls for a lot of hard walking these boots are excellent for that.

This is my third pair and I have not been able to find a more comfortable or durable boot for hiking or farm work.

I bought my first pair when I was an Assistant Scout Master. Since then, I wear them everyday except for the need for steeltoes and going out with the wife . They are comfortable and lite weight, warm in the winter. Now retired, I wear them to walk my three miles a day too.

The first pair of Altitudes lasted over 10 years, these are twice the boots as merrells for half the money(merrells lasted less than a year).Have used these for hiking the Cohutta Wilderness area and most of the mountains in North Georgia as well as Tn, NC and W.Va. Very light, durable and waterproof after many years of use.
