The boots proved to be very comfortable and had good grip on hard slipery clay surfaces. I rate these boots very well.

I have owned Hi-Tec boots since the original Hi-Tec Sierra boots in the 80's. I find the Altitude IV to be a very comfortable boot with good arch and ankle support. They are also one of the few boots that are readily available in wide widths. This is my second pair and won't be the last.

It is a very light boot . Not completely waterproof. Dont go on a multi-day hike with these boots

I thought this would be a great hiking boot but it hasn't meet the standard for my foot. The laces for my foot and ankle deminsions are located in the wrong place. This means that when laced up fully the tongue cut's into the ankle. For walking around they are ok other than that they cut into the ankle and make hiking a miserable task. I am shopping for a better boot. Also no support to the ankle. Needs to be a 6 or 8 inch boot and it would be a good boot. My foot feels comfortable but when twisting and torqueing the ankle this boot is not a good choice.

These seem to run true to size.A:Â
Yes, if you order size 9 you will get size 9. They are true to size. However, like all footwear if you ware two pairs of stock or thick hunting socks go up a 1/2 size.1 of 1
