Read the reviews, thought the others may not have followed the directions. I weighted, measured, 24 hours in the fridge, 3 hours in the smoker with some pecan smoke. TASTELESS! 1 lb of smoked meat. Had done this for my wife that likes hot and spicy, none here!

I love this product but not as a dry rub like the directions was intended for.
I add liquid smoke and some water to help marinate the meat before making jerky.

Tried it on one pound of beef, it have a very bad taste. Really dissapointed of the taste, its very salty and taste nothing but salt and raw meat with a background of pepper. I don't recommand this.
