Henry® Lever Action Rifle
Just got .22lr back from Henry after it jamming right out of the box. Henry was extremely helpful and had the gun turned around and back in my hands in less than a week. Bass Pro on the other hand was not as helpful. They said that once they send the gun off it is out of their hands, They were not willing to follow up with Henry, they could not even tell me when it arrived. I was given the number to Henry and had to deal direct with Henry. You would think that since Bass Pro sold you the gun they would be more than willing to make sure you got your new gun back ASAP. Once I got the rifle back and took it to the range it loaded and shoot fine. Thanks Henry.

Great first rifle
My wife purchase one of these for her very first gun in 2011. She bought a Nikon scope for it at the same time and brought the gun home. I bore sighted the scope and sighted the scope in for her. She shot it a few times and we got it zeroed for her. I shot it and love the way it handles and how smooth it functions. This rifle sold us on Henry rifles. I just purchased 6 of this model for my grandsons. I wanted something that would last them a lifetime from PopC. I have also gotten a Golden Boy 17 HMR and a 44 Mag Big Boy since then. I am also wanting the 357 Mag, 45-70, and 30-30 Henry.Hopefully I will be reviewing these in the near future.

This is a nice and affordable rifle. Since it is American made I personally like it even more. It is nice to look at and simple to shoot. Small kids can handle this caliber easily. The sights on mine were spot on right out of the box. About the only thing keeping this from a 5 star rating is the weight. This gun weighs a lot more than my Marlin with an all synthetic stock.

Accurate and reliable
I have owned my Henry H001 for two months now. It is very accurate and reliable. I purchased a 4x32 scope for it and iit knocks the center of a bullseye out at 25 yards. I did have some misleads for a few days. It turned out to be a cleaning issue, The carriage lever was sticking and making the tip of the cartridge spring high above the chamber entrance. When this happened, trying to close the breech resulted in a jam. Once I cleaned the loading tube and the carriage mechanism along with lubrication of the cleaned parts, I haven't had a misload in over 500 rounds since. The action is extremely smooth.
