The Henry Big Boy .44 MAG Rifle is perfect for fans of our nation's Wild West era and big-game hunters. Hearkening back to the original Henry rifle of 1860, this big, brutal, beautiful lever action rifle features a distinctive 20" octagon barrel, straight-grip American walnut stock with brass buttplate and brass barrel band. The blued steel barrel is matched with a solid top brass receiver with side ejection. Subtle, hand painted detailing makes each unit truly one of a kind. The Big Boy .44 MAG features a hammer safety and—for another 19th century touch—a fully adjustable Marble semi-buckhorn rear sight with white diamond insert and brass beaded front sight. The rifle’s tubular magazine can pack ten powerful .44 bruisers. Made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by UPSCHEF69 Best Lever-Action there is!
I have owned Winchesters and many Marlins, and this Henry Big Boy 44magnum is not only my favorite lever action of all time, it is the second Henry I have owned and loved. And, not only is the Henry action the smoothest lever out there, but the wood is Missouri Walnut, which is some of the finest there is! I just got back from Wyoming antelope hunting, and with open sights, I came within a whisper of downing an antelope from 400 yards away +, shooting Hornady 225gr. FTX 44mag LEVERevolution ammo. It shoots 1410 fps from the muzzle, and is extremely accurate out of this Henry Big Boy 44mag\44spl rifle. I would recommend this gun to anyone wanting a top quality very accurate lever-action rifle. After all, just like Winchester and Marlin, Henry has been around since the Post Civil War era, but this rifle will bring a touch of class to your gun collection, and I know you will be a proud owner!

Recently purchased the Henry Big Boy .44, and I continue to be very impressed with the exceptional quality of this rifle! You simply cannot find another rifle in this price range that equals the fit and finish of the Henry. The bluing is deep and rich, and the figured walnut stock is equal to guns costing thousands more.
Warning! Shooting this gun can be addicting! The heavy octagon barrel soaks up recoil like a sponge, and the action is smooth as silk right out of the box.
The only downsides (small ones to me): The buckhorn sight does not have adequate tension to prevent it from moving on the ramp (check it often), and the brass alloy receiver is so highly polished, it reflects light like a mirror. Still, for such a handsome gun, it's well worth wrapping the brass with tape if the situation warrants. Some shooters will not like the top loading tube magazine, but I don't see it as a negative.
Very gratifying to see a gunmaker committed to producing a world class rifle in the US, made from 100% American components.
This is an heirloom quality gun. Anyone wanting a pistol caliber lever gun should give the Henry strong consideration.

I bought this gun last spring and so far I love it. It is a beautiful gun with the brass reciever and butt plate. I have shot 44 specials and mags out of it. The action is very smooth. It is very accurate shooting the 44 mags. The sight are very easy to see and use. The octagonal barrel does make the gun a little heavy but really helps the accuracy. I have no problem shooting eggs at 100 yds with it.

I love this gun. This makes the second Henry I have purchased. Actually my wife bought the first one for me. This is a very well made gun as are all Henry Rifles. It does cost more than other rifles but is well worth it. I put a scope on it and use ammo made for the lever action rifles. This trio works great together. I highly recommend this rifle. In fact I am looking forward to getting the 357 Mag also. Henry is such a great gun that I just purchased 6 22's for my grand sons for Christmas

I just put one my gun.I had to order the base mount from Henry because nobody in my area stocks them . You need to know if you have gen 1 or a newer gen 2 . The gen 2 is pre drilled for the scope mount.Gen 1 is cantalever style mount.Q:Â

I load for a 44 mag S&W pistol using the 250 gr. Sierra bullet. Will this load work in the Henry rifle?
Details:Â
It's chambered for .44 Magnum, and not all lever guns chambered for .44 Mag will actually feed .44 Special ammunition.Does anybody have any experience feeding .44 Special (not Magnum) into the Henry H006?
Answers
A:Â
According to the owner's manual: The model H006 is chambered for the .44 magnum cartridge. The .44 S&W Special cartridge can also be fired in a model H006. Do NOT use Blazer or any other aluminum cased ammunition in the rifle.Answers
