Part of the legendary Zara Spook family famous for its ''walk-the-dog'' action, Heddon's Super Spook features an internal rattle, super strong hardware and a very durable body construction. To fish this topwater legend, use a rhythmic, slack-line retrieve that makes the Zara walk from left to right and back and forth. Hooks: three #4.
Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 64 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Lure I definitely like this super spook. the action is very good and the hooks are super sharp. already caught me some big bass and produced massive strikes from all kinds of fish. Good lure for what you pay for. September 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect twilight topwater I have caught more fish on this lure than anything else in my box. My kids have cast this lure and caught bass! No exaggeration, I caught 3 bass on 5 casts with the super spook. I wish I could find it in a translucent color again, because eventually mine is going to wear out! August 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Easy Best multi-purpose surface bait on the planet. Some copy, but it never is the same. Bass, pike, musky, and other apex predators can't resist. Color does matter with this lure as well as retrieve speed. Bass: green on a slow jerk. Pike/musky: Have some red in it, and make some noise on a fast retrieve. Metal leaders don't mess up the action, just make sure you have quality ones with a bearing swivel. July 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by big fish catcher i bought these for musky and have yet to catch one that way but i have caught some big bass off of them. they have a great wide action! January 17, 2013

A:
It depends on the lighting and water clarity and fish species. I have the best luck with a translucent bluish with glitter.

I fish for stripers and largemouth bass and was wondering if the bone color is good. I use 8 pound on the Zara spook and was wondering if that would work on the super spook.

Bone or white are both awesome to use on the CA Delta. You can fish with 8lb test, but you would be in for one heck of a fight if you hooked onto a decent striper. With 8lb test, your chances of losing it are greatly increased. I would recommend going with a bare minimum of 12lb test. I personally use 55lb - 70lb braid. I have lost too many striped bass using lower lb test mono.
