The Heddon Magnum Hellbender was bigger than expected, almost 5 inches long. It dove deep as described and caught one bass on its first weekend in my arsenal. Well made.

I use these lures as a down rigger, to get my other lure down to depth (10-17') Works excellent with the pet spoon. A lot of people her in Texas use this combination.

In a world of real looking almost alive lures this beast is a throw back. But for it's old simple design it does get down to the fish. I use these in deep freshwater river channels for bass. It gets down to the fish with an action they most likey have not seen, at least lately. The lure produces fish.
