I bought a few of these to keep on hand after a severe snow storm a few years back that had us stuck in our house with no electricity for a week. My husband swiped them to bring with him to work (OTR Truck Driver) and said it was excellent. It was very convenient for him to open/heat it up in his truck on the side of the road - he didn't need anything extra. I think these are great for long power outages (it's not easy explaining to a 3 year old that they can only have cereal or a sandwich when they want something warm because it's cold due to no heat) or for a truck driver on the road. I would have to agree with the previous reviewers that is a little much to pack in and out with you if you are backpacking/camping.

Bought a few different ones to bring home and try out before I take them out in the field. The lasagna was quick, easy, hot, tasted suprisingly good, and best of all it is filling. Worth the price for the convenience. It's a bit bulky, so I probably wouldn't fill my whole pack with them..... but I'd definitely bring a couple so I could treat myself to a quick, hot meal.

One of the BEST tasting vegetarian self heating meals available.!
I ate the last one i purchased on a friends boat in the middle of a lake during a fishing tournament.
Gave me a better boost of warmth and energy than any power bar !
