Heat Fly Rods
- 7'10" rod delivers some wicked ''heat''
- Respond to a shorter, more aggressive power stroke on the cast
- Legal length for bass tournaments
Muscling big flies and big fish around tight cover requires rapid reflexes and a fly rod that can respond instantly. Hauling a snook out of mangroves or a bass out of a treetop are basically the same job, best accomplished with a shorter rod that delivers more torque. These 7'10" rods bring some wicked ''heat'' when you’re driving home the iron; they also respond to a shorter, more aggressive power stroke on the cast. Legal length for bass tournaments.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by noffboy69 awsome rod!!
The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is that I would love for it to be a one piece or at least a 2 piece rod instead of 4. With that being said, this rod is awsome!! I sight fish redfish on the grass flats and sometimes you don't see them until you are 10' away. This rod with it's shorter length than my 9'er allows me to present the fly much faster and with out as much movement. This rod will cast small feathers or larger weighted flys great and has the backbone to stop an upper slot red in it's tracks!!

Was very impressed how these rods casted being so short. Was able to shoot line to the backing with floating and sink tip lines. Short casting in tight places very accurate.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Delta Best purchase good price
best rod for the price. purchase two 9wt rods for use to fish the Cal Delta for LMB & stripers. The rod handles large poppers and Flies very well. I put them to the test on large bass in Mexico Lakes where fish were in the 10+ #,s for two weeks and they handle all fish as well or better them my high priced rod. will recommend this rod all the time. I have customer that used it and they were very pleased with it also.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by anonymous96 vary good rod
when i got this rod it was my first time a rod thats shorter than 9 ft. this rod casts better and longer than my older longer rod. i got the 8 weght for big bass and bonefish. it is vary light weght and stiff great for popers when you need a fast reaction and strength. one bad thing about this rod is that you need weght forword fly line to cast vary straight and far. vary good rod highly recomended.

I am not sure what question your answering Exdoc, but the Heat does not come in a 3 wt. The smallest fly line it comes in is 8 wt. I did get this rod today and weighed it on my digital scale and the mass of the rod is 4 oz.1 of 1
