SABIKI is a Japanese word for a fishing method in which a saltwater rig is jigged vertically in the water making it easier to catch bait fish. Experienced saltwater anglers will use the Hayabusa® light-reflecting Yarn and Mackerel Fish Skin Aurora rig in murky water to ensure they spend more time fishing for gamefish and less time for baitfish. 6-hook rig.
Hayabusa® Mix-Yarn and Mackerel Fish Skin Aurora Finish Sabiki
Spanish Mackerel Magnet!!
My setup is a 6'6'' medium power fast action spinning rod with a Shimano sustain 2500FE, loaded with 20lb Powerpro moss green braided line. Now i use a 1 ounce teardrop weight and bounce it off the bottom fairly quickly, because mackerel love chasing bait and with a whole school of Sabiki rig that's bouncing up and down erratically really makes them bite if the silver squid spoon is not producing :) to me its a good bait-fish/ mackerel rig in one!!!!!......one bad thing about this is the fluorocarbon lb. test is kinda weak so if a big one is hooked they usually snap off. :(
