Hayabusa® Hage-Kawa Sabiki Hot Hook Bait Rig
SABIKI is a Japanese word for a fishing method in which a saltwater rig is jigged vertically in the water making it easier to catch bait fish. Experienced saltwater anglers will use the Hage-Kawa Sabiki rig in deep waters to ensure they spend more time fishing for mackerel and herring and less time for baitfish. 6-hook rig.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WauktownAngler Bait catcher I use this particular sabiki rig for catching live bait, like alewives, when I am going to use them for larger fish later. I mainly use this rig because of the small size the rig comes in which allows the baitfish to fit it in their very small mouths. The quality of this rig is outstanding. The white fishskin material will rarely ever fall off, and the hooks are long lasting. Removing the rig from the package is very easy to do, and it won't cause any tangles. I found this to be one of the most versatile rigs for catching all types of freshwater panfish such as bluegills, rock bass, crappie, or yellow perch. My father uses the same rig, but in a larger size, to catch saltwater fish in California like surfperch, kingfish, jacksmelt, and mackerel. I am still using the same rig after a month of fishing, and it still works just as good as when I first took it out of the package. June 26, 2007
