These traps are some of the best for catching mice and rats alive. You can set with both doors open or only one. I have had one for many years and it is still doing its job decades later. No worries here.

We bought a trap about five years ago and it has caught too many mice to count.
It is easy to set. you need a one foot long scoop or stick to put the food on the end and dump it on the platform.
You may stick something to the platform before setting it.
My wife refuses to kill them so it has saved many life's and we take the wood mice back to the country.
with the positive door lock you can transport in the cage without them getting loose.
When you release the door lock than raise the door by pushing the leaver down and you are not worried about the mice being near your hand.
