works for me I've had mine going on 3 years now, and it works great. Maybe I'm just careful, but it has never broken on me, and it works very well for what I use it for. June 8, 2012
junk used 2 days i was very gentel with it and it broke. waste of money! April 1, 2012
Great Idea-Poor Durability I have used the Hold-It for many years…and have had to replace one of the two on my boat nearly every year. It is the best organizer I have ever used and the least durable. They are rather fragile for a bass boat. The problem is no one makes a more durable organizer which is as functional. February 8, 2012
Poor I didnt even get to use it. I attached it to my seat post and it broke before it ever got used. Not too happy. The plastic is very thin. December 30, 2011

It has a clamp that goes through the holder and around your pedestal. Works great. Had to buy another for my father.

post or pin (what ever you want to call it) has a stainless steel hose clamp to go around seat pedestal (i believe you can also screw it to a wall). then caddy slips down on the post. when you see it, it is really simple.

It has a band clamp that comes with it. It just came with one so I installed a second one. Put one on top and one on bottom. This made it real sturdy.
