I wish I knew about this rack a awhile ago. The one thing stopping me from getting a kayak these last couple of years was spending a lot of money for a roof rack that would just be used for the kayak, I could never justify the purchase. I finally stumble upon this beauty at BPS and I'm sold. Bought at the same time I got my Ascend FS12 sit in. Threw the rack on my 93 Escort with no problems, tied down the kayak and all was good. Why oh why did I not know about this rack before. This rack is great for those who don't want a permanent rack on vehicles. Bonus your kayak rides on a cushion of air so no damage when you hit bumps in the road.

Purchased this with my new FS10 since I drive a 2005 Ion that has no roof-rack to speak of. I was honestly a bit nervous when I first strapped it to this car with this thing (did some donuts around the parking lot to see if it shifted at all), but it performed exactly as advertised. Drove home (about a 40 minute commute) from the nearest BassPro at speeds ranging from 25 to 65 mph and the yak never moved once. Totally worth the $100. Very easy to set up and break down, holds the kayak tight but doesn't hurt it.

i picked one of these up last year. to use with my Ascend fs12. i have had no issues with it what so ever. works great. maby the only thing you have to look out for is to be sure that there is no durt on your roof. it will scratch it if there is.

Great option for someone who doesn't have the money to spend on a permanent roof rack. Just watch the airodynamics.
