Excellent Value I bought these to replace two car type lights i had installed on my boat . Not being marinised the mounting brackets rusted and ruined the boat finish. These ones came with eveything you needed to install with inline fuse , connectors wiring etc . even the dash on/off switch The bracket for mounting is stainless so should last for a long time Good quality for a very reasonable price and they were easy to fit. will not last too long.. they are inexpensive! And you get what you pay for. Others advised of weak materials,, which is accurate I use on front of pontoon, so they really do not get stepped on too much. the main issue is that they do not seal out rain/water??? the way the glass lens affixes to housing with very thin rubber gasket, just is not up to the task... 1 year in and bulbs are rusted to the socket?/ adget better quality light. Problem is our store only carried these? others are available online--I reco those. August 22, 2013
need light put these lights on the deck of my boat 3yrs. ago and thru getting on and off the boat I, hit one and broke it.Looked the product up on the bass pro catalog and found out they still carry the product, ordered online and received them in a few days. They are easy to install and are made with quality material.Only thing I, would like to see would be a guard that would fit around them. OK Mounted to deck of pontoon boat, my 12 year old stepped on it the first trip out wit them, broke housing. Light still works but will need repaired, replaced. I would have expected it to be just a little tougher due to the intended use. They do light up very well. I may recommend, but use care on how and where you mount them. July 2, 2013

A:
No these are not designed to be submerged
these are 50watt halogens and are the equivelent of fog lights on a car
they are designed to guide you in the dark when getting close to shore or docking on a ramp or wharf
Best mounting position is on the foredeck area but beware of reflection from the hull which makes it difficult to see foreward Mine are mounted on the side of the cabin front
