personally i hate my gages to me they do not give proper sizing especally for caddis flies where the barbles should only reach the hook point definately for catskill tiers and even then there oversized the only good iv gotten out of mine is checking hook sizes after playing 52 hook pickup
also the one i have is dark green and not the yellow above making darker hackles hard to see

I purchased the hackle gauge about a week ago and it was manufactured with two holes for the pin that are side by side. The pin won't stay in the elongated hole.
I'm sure that they make hundreds per day of this unit but I felt that the QC was pretty poor. I epoxied the pin to the hole and assume its right. Maybe I'm just whining but since you asked for the review here it is.
