HEVI-Shot® Duck Load Shotshells
Nothing brings out the performance of firearms like HEVI-Shot pellets and now the makers of the revolutionary pellet, ENVIRON-Metal, Inc., are making their own shells that include great features such as weather-resistant crimps! The Duck Load shells allow for 50% more lethal pellets on targets over 40 yards. They have a 15-percent pattern improvement over high-speed steel. If you're shooting to kill, you should shoot the best!

Don't depend on this non-toxic for pass shooting. Does not hold a pattern. The tighter the choke the worse the pattern. Modified starts to dohnut. Has a lot of fliers in my patterning tests. Cylinder and IC seems to have the best pattern, which is about 60" diameter at 40 yards in my shotgun.

I shot well before i starting shooting HEVI 3 1/2 but i got them for the long shots and they are by far the worst shells available, i was extremely disapointed to cut them open n find they are packed with more plastic than metal in the shot and i had 5 times more shot on my target and 40 and 50 yards with Federals and Winchesters steel than HEVI.

Just bought a case of Hevi-Shot only to read a review stating that it is less dense than lead (9.7) while Remington's Wingmaster loads are heavier than lead (12.0). Should have bought the Wingmaster loads if that's the case.Answers

Hevi-Shot is denser thatn lead. Lead has a density of 10.3 g/cc Hevi-Shot Duck is 12.0 g/ccand Hevi-13 is 13.0 g/ccA:Â
Its true that at one time, HeviShot Duck was a lighter load, but after 2006 it is the same density as HeviShot Goose- 12gcc, or the same as Wingmaster HD.A:Â
they are not nearly as dense as wingmaster hd.A:Â
yes they are slightly ligher. But they are faster and kill just as well. Found the slower heaver shot strung out a bit and made it harder to hit the birds at long range. both are good its what you like that matters. Shoot em I am betting you will find very very little difrence1 of 1
