I have the.44 Magnum version and Love it! Black Synthetic stock and dark blued finish. Workmanship is very good. Nice solid feel and break open action is very smooth right out of the box. Haven't used it for Hunting yet. I'm told that .44 Mag. is good out to 100 yards then, gravity takes over. Fitted mine with a BSA illuminated RGB 3-9x50 Scope on the included rail...it had no sights. So far, it's very accurate. Comes with a Hammer extension that must be used if a scope is mounted. Makes cocking the hammer much easier. If you have a short scope with a long eye relief...you may not need the hammer extension. Readily digests any .44 Mag or Special rounds I feed it but, accuracy seems best with the higher velocity loads. An extractor lifts the cartridge casing making it easily re-loaded. An ejector might be nice but since I reload my ammunition, my brass stays with me. Recoil isn't that bad even with Full House Magnum rounds. The stock recoil pad does a good job. There are plenty of shotguns that kick harder. It is made in a wide variety of calibers from .17HMR all the way up to .500 Smith & Wesson Magnum. For a small increase in price, it can be had with a nice hardwood stock. The synthetic is fine with me though. For the money, it would be hard to find a better deal.
