The Original Cocahoe Minnow has often been imitated but never duplicated. In fact, the Original Cocahoe Minnow was one of first saltwater soft plastics in the fishing industry. Introduced in 1980, the 3" Cocahoe Minnow and 4" Queen Cocahoe Minnow are offered in a variety of fish-attracting colors. Every saltwater angler worth his salt has these authentic and incredibly effective lures in his tackle box.

Really liked the looks of it and bought it to use in fresh water as the baitfish were silver and white. I guess the bass didn't like it as much as I did. Still like the looks of it even if it never got a bite.

These came out about 1980 and I was a user from day 1. I've fished the Louisiana marsh east and west of the Miss. R. with them for redfish and the only thing better is a live cocahoe minnow.

I started using the 3" minnow on a 1/8" oz jig with a jig spinner about 20 years ago ... I cannot tell you how many bass I have caught on this rig. I took my stepson out fishing last summer and he is new school I am old school ... well let us just say I out fished him and the biggest bass of the day was caught on the cocahoe minnow rig.... I like the chartreuse/firetail with a red 1/8oz jig head on a small jig spinner. Try it in the early season or when bass are aggressive you will be surprised.

I love these lure. they work great for about any fish out there from largemouth bass all the way to 40lb striper. All you have to do mounted on 1/4 - 1/2 oz jighead and fish slowly along the bottom you can't go wrong
