I used this stand for two seasons. It is a bit heavy taking it out into the woods. It is average for ease of setting up in a tree. The seat velcro fastener ripped this past season which will require me to repair it. It is average for comfort and the deck size is fine. This stand does not stand out in any way. I would not recommend this stand because there are many others out on the market in this price range that would better serve a hunter.

I bought this stand acouple of weeks ago and have used it 3 times. It pretty much comes assembled and is not too heavy. The picture that bass pro has needs to be updated. The new seat cushion is about 3 inches thick and the back is the same as the picture. It is very sturdy and quiet in the tree. The platform is plenty big. The only problem i have is the armrest padding is wrapped around the metal and glued to itself and it is already trying to come apart. Nothing that a couple of zip-ties wont fix. I highly recommend this stand.

I bought this stand brand new. I went to put it together and found a burr in the drilled hole where the arm rest attatches to. I had a use a countersink and then a file just to get the burr out so i bolt would pass through. Then the next day when i was going to put it in my tree, i noticed that the padding on the arm rail is wrapped around the metal and then glued to itself. The glue already started seperating. I'm hoping the padding will hold out for this year but i doubt it will. I e-mailed Gorilla and notified them of the defects and it's been over a week with no response. I was even polite in the e-mail and all i was looking for was a thank you for letting us know about the issues you had and we'll try to correct the problems. I didn't even get that. If i had to do it over i wouldn't purchase another item from Gorilla. Their quality control department seems to be seriously lacking.

I've never been someone who could stay in a stand without standing up for a couple minutes every hour or so but on opening day of Michigan's firearms deer season I put this stand to the test.
I sat for 5 hours in the morning and stood only once! I went in for some lunch and came right back out to sit another 4+ hours, again only standing once for about 10 minutes. This shattered my personal record and I owe it all to my Gorilla. I'll definetally pick up another 1 or 2 of these.

Details:Â
will it last in a tree year-round or should i take it in when i come inAnswers
A:Â
I think most treestands will survive year round but I prefer to take mine down when I am done. 2-3 months in a tree compared to 12 months means a stand will last 4 to 6 times longer if you take it down. I have never had to replace a stand yet!!1 of 1
