I was super impressed when I got this camera mount in! After playing around with it and using this camera arm I see no reason for this to be anything but 5 star! I film hunts for our hunting show and friends and this Gorilla camera arm works great!

I have not had the chanse to use this product in the woods yet but have attached it to a post in my back yard and it appears that it will suit my needs. A friend has used the same product in a hunting situation and said it works just fine.

Great if you only use a small camcorder. Wish the arm was a little longer.

No the ARM would need tools to remove. I just leave the whole thing.A:Â
You can, but you would have to screw the arm back in each time you climb up the tree. To me its not much more difficult to throw the strap around and sinch it down.A:Â
Yes absolutely. The arm part can be removed from the base by means of pushing a small button.A:Â
you can remove the camera but the arm and base are not made to come apartTop 250 Contributor

It can be done but I don't recommend it with this arm. The arm is attached to the base with a thumb screw instead of a pin. So when taking it off or putting it back together requires total concentration. Would hate to think of dropping the screw because the chance of finding it would be slim.Q:Â

Does it matter what type of camera to use for this? Does it need to be a newer camera or will an older camera work?

Will the part that mounts to the actual camera fit all camera types?Answers
A:Â
the arm that attaches to the tree is probably a foot and the extension is maybe 6-8 inches. needs one more extension in my opinion.A:Â
it extenz out to a little over 2 ft. ithe screw didnt fit my camera at first, i replaced the screw with one that did fit and it works good now.Top 500 Contributor
A:Â
the arm that attaches to the mount is 10 1/2", the arm that attaches to that arm is 9 inches, and the end is 9 inches. you can fold them up for smaller storage but they can extend from the tree a good distance.1 of 1
