Have a 12V battery so what do I need to install the golight to that. Very basic I am sure but need some instruction.
Take a pipe cutter and reduce the length by at least 4". It should be good to go. May also require a heavier fuse.
THE NAVIGATION RED/GREEN LIGHTS COME RIGHT ON, BUT THE HEAD LIGHT NEEDS TO BE TURNED ON WITH THE REMOTE.
I have one of those 500,000 candle power lights and no it is not as bright but you do not need it. It sits up front and works more like a spot light than lighting up the whole world around you. I works like the headlights of your car if aimed correctly.
Footcandles is the measure of intensity which take into account the reflector properties and the output of the bulb. So depending on the reflector whether flood or spot with change the footcandle measurement.
You'll probalby have to call the manufacturer to get the footcandle measurement. Many manufacturers are rating thier lights in both lumens and Candela, which is derived from either lux or footcandles as measured with a light meter. Much better than "candlepower" measurement which is often inflated for marketing purposes.
