The GLOCK® G36 is a slim and trim, subcompact semi-auto pistol designed specifically for concealed carry use. The G36 is a carry gun shooting the .45 ACP pistol cartridge, a standard military round with proven knock down power. The GLOCK G36 Slimline has a frame made out of the same high-strength polymer as other full-sized GLOCK semi-automatic pistols, though it uses a single stack magazine, greatly reducing the width of the grip. The slide's internal and external dimensions were also modified to reduce the pistol's weight, and the muzzle end of the slide is tapered to aid in quick one-hand re-holstering. The frame has checkering on the front and back straps, providing a non-slip surface, and finger grooves on the front strap and a finger rest on the front of the trigger guard aid in fire control. The Safe-Action trigger system makes shooting in high-stressed situations infallible. The milled steel slide and the barrel are treated with matte black Tenifer finish for extreme resistance to wear and corrosion. The Tenifer treated steel and polymer frame make the pistol impervious to corrosion caused by perspiration and humidity when carried close to the body. A white-dot front sight and a white-bracket rear sight provide rapid acquisition in dim lighting situations. All GLOCK pistols fieldstrip easily without the use of tools. The GLOCK G36 Semi-Auto Pistol is a reliable, easy to maintain firearm that's comfortable to carry all day. The G36 SF comes with 2 single-stack, 6-round magazines.

My favorite carry weapon My Glock 36 is by far my favorite carry weapon. Super slim and the 45 ACP stopping power is hard to beat. This weapon, with an inside the waistband holster, all but disappears when worn. 6 plus 1 capacity of 45 is all I need for a small carry weapon. 10mm is my all time favorite caliber. I just wish they would make a slim line 10mm and my world would be complete. I would not suggest using this as an IDPA competition gun or a gun to fire 50-100 rounds a range trip through. Even with light loads, it has a major bite to it. However, its made to fire only when needed, not to shoot leisurely. I am only giving this 4 stars due to the recoil of this gun. If you want a 45 ACP shooter with a compact gun, I would suggest using the Glock 30. Also this is the only model of Glock that magazines will not interchange. Being able to use full size magazines from your duty gun to a back up or carry weapon, in active shooter scenario is key. You will not be able to do this with the Glock 36. If your looking for a powerful carry weapon only, this is your ticket. Light weight, packs a punch and all but disappears when concealed, are major points for this Glock. September 9, 2012
First Glock Bought this for my first CC handgun. It is very concealable & has ran flawlessly so far & I have little doubt that will change. Kudos to Bass Pro Shop (Charlotte NC) for ordering this handgun for me being they had none in stock, Great handgun plus Great Service!! June 17, 2012
First Glock, and love it I bought the G36 for CCW, I fitted it to my hand before purchase. I have shot several .45's over the years, and for a small/slim frame this gun shoots very well. At the range the 6 o'clock site is dead on at the 20 ft. mark. Felt recoil is not bad for the smaller gun, I do highly recommend a Pierce +0 or +1 grip extension, either are very comfortable, and do help shooting precision. Of course, the +1 gives you 7 rnds. in the mag vs. 6. I did read that the G36 had some FTE problems, after 50 rnds. of reloaded ammo I experienced no failures at all. Gun worked flawless. I am looking into getting the extended slide release. January 31, 2012
