The had does what its supposed to. I wouldn't call it the best hat in the world but it definitely accomplishes the task.

I bought this hat for my father who just bought a house in Myrtle Beach on a lake. He is a retiree dreaming to fish his retirement away! He thinks the hat if perfect. The mesh cooling part a big plus.

I cannot say if this is an efective sun hat as I ordered a large and the hat is too small for my size 7 3/8 inch head. the crown is too short and the brim is too small to be an effective shade hat. the quality is very good if it only fit. Buy at least one size larger. Bass Pro shipping charges are rediculous and are charge on the basis of dollars spent. I will not order on-line any more.

Although this hat wasn't cheap, it was well worth it. It took me a while to figure out how the sun shade (extra) fit on the hat, but it does compleat the purpose of the hat. I'm using it for fishing and it should do the job of keeping the sun off my almost bold head and from my ears. I also happen to think it looks good on me. Better then the baseball style caps I usually ware. I have tried other hats similar style only I much prefer this look. It's lighter in weight and has a wonderful vented top which I found works well. My head doesn't sweat in the heat nearly as much as other hats I've owned. I havn't used the sun shade yet but I like the fact I have it that I at least have the option. Although I do feel it doesn't look very good, with the sun shead it looks kind of nerdy. Otherwise I think the overall excellenct of the hat, and the look, is exceptional and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good knock around casual hat.

It's not actually a hat but it is moisture wicking but with a hot sun beating down a stiff breeze helps keep you more comfortable.Top 250 Contributor
