Gerber STL 2.0 or 2.5 Drop Point Knife
Can't understand why anyone wouldn't rate this 5, unless they're simply not reading the spex & expecting a Swiss Army/Bowie/fishing/assault machete. Very slim. Perfect for the minor daily tasks of minor cutting, cleaning nails, etc. Most impressive is the length of blade in relation to the overall closed length. The point reaches almost exactly to the the end of handle when closed. No wasted space. Bought one, loved it, lost it, replaced it, almost lost that one, almost replaced again (I found it).

A true pocket knife
The STL 2.0 is a great knife to handle all the day to day requirements of opening packages, boxes, letters, removing tie-wraps, etc. (I rate it a 4.5) While I wouldn't try to clean a fish or survive in the woods with it, by design it's size allows me to carry it in my pocket everyday whether I'm wearing Levis, shorts or a business suit. (Folded, it's less than 3" in length) I used its predecessor, the L.S.T. almost everyday for 20 years until I misplaced it, so I tried the STL this time around. Both are folding lock knifes and while the L.S.T. has a friendlier lock/release, the blade on the STL is superior. Both are great for what they were designed to do; a small, super light knife you can carry like pocket change to assist in those daily chores. And Bass Pro sells them at half price, which is why I bought three of them!
