Gerber Paraframe Mini Knife
This knife appears to have a serrated blade, but does not. It is fairly easy to open, but does not fall open. A portion of the handle snaps behind the blade when opened to lock it opened, which is a good feature. The same portion of the blade which locks it into place needs to be moved to close it, and that can be a task, but worth the foort to have a locking blade .The blade is Sharp! - Watch out. I have not yet had to sharpen it, and am pretty sure that day is a ways down the line. It's a good knife to have for everyday use and "for use up north/outdoors". I'd buy it again if I were in the market for a knife, and rate it higher than most knives in this price range. . .

Decent knife at first
It is a good knife at first. I own two of them. When it comes time to sharpen it, be very careful. The blade "edge" is not very big, and when sharpening it on a stone, it will take all of the blade away very quickly if you aren't careful, at which point you will have to put it on an electric bench grinder.

Your Typical Gerber
I use this knife nearly everyday. The pocket clip is very handy. The description says you can open it with one hand.....I sure can't. Mine doesn't have the little tab on the blade that would allow you to open it with your thumb. My other Gerber DOES have that option, but it's a bit larger so I don't carry it as much. This is still a good, compact, usable knife.

Gerber focuses on making good quality knives for the average hunter, fisherman, & camper's budget. This is a nice little pocket knife thats works great as an EDC. (Every day Carry) Its easy to keep clean, lightweight, looks cool, and can meet the average joe's need. I would reccomend this as an alternative to a bulkier multitool.
