Well I bought this saw just in time for the early season moose hunt here in BC, none too early either as I got my moose opening day and put this saw to work right away. I wanted something that would not take up much room yet would be extremely rugged and durable. So far this saw has done just that and more as another brand of saw proved not to be up to the task of 2 elk in one day last year and became extra weight I did not want to have to pack off the mountain. I believe this saw will last a long time and be a useful tool for many hunts to come.

I needed a smaller size saw to use when butchering deer. Sometimes a full size butchers saw is too big.
This saw seems to fill the niche just right.

My buddy had one of these on the camping trip last weekend. I used it to cut a limb that was about 8 inches in diameter. Sure I had to cut moving around the limb, but it worked REALLY well! Teeth chewed right through the limb. Then collapsed back into its case! In addition, it has the finger guard!!! I SURELY would have busted my hands to pieces had that not been there!!
I am getting ready to purchase one to have in my CAMPING gear!

This is a very good saw, but you should have it put together before you go into the woods before daylight.
