I bought 2 of these knives, one for me and one for a gift. I opened mine and it was so useless I returned the gift and got the Kershaw assisted opening. The gerber just doesn't really assist in opening, it actual hinders the opening process. Spend the extra $15 and get the Kershaw, you won't be dissapointed.

This is a great knife if your in the market for a serrated blade version. Works great on cutting rope,and it is the perfect size to carry on you. I can't stand it when a knife is too big/heavy to carry in my pocket all day long. This knife is perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.

Thought gerber was a good brand. Spring broke in it 2 days after purchasing it. My advice, buy a SOG.
