this knife is very easy and handy to use. i am able to open and close the knife with 1 hand. only thing i might add is a little sharper but this is a really good knife to have. the pocket also makes a great feature.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Brentmeister Great Multi Purpose Knife!
I bought this knife three years ago for multi/daily use.
I'm in the military and have used the knife in the field for a multitude of reasons. It cuts well, has a super-sturdy locking mechanism and can be flipped open with one hand. It opens with a slight press of the opening tab and a flick of the wrist - almost like a spring loaded knife. I have cut metal stripping, rope, cord and heavy plastic with this knife. I even heated it once with a torch to score some thick plastic that we were trying to percision cut...
I've also used it for hunting and fishing applications. I used it to fillet a few catfish once while in a bind with no fillet knife.
To maintain: I wash it down in the sink when it's really bad - then blow it out with compressed air. A little light machine oil on the mechanism and a few strokes on the stone and it's good to go.
Through all of this - the black finish is still in good shape on the blade and the handle. It's scratched up in a few places, but works as well as the day I got it.
Several friends with more expensive knives have borrowed it and commented that it was every bit as good, if not better, than their multi-hundred dollar knives. I don't buy expensive knives because I'm afraid I'll loose it -and find myself reluctant to use it for 'nasty' applications.
This knife cost me about $30 bucks and it's still going strong! And - I haven't lost it!
I took a small rotary burr and carved my name in the bottom of the handle - it's found it's way back to me when borrowed a couple of times... ;)

I had one of these knives and carried it every day for 4 years. I was able to cut everything from paper to leather. The knife was so quick to open that I never considered getting an assisted knife. Recently, I was on a business trip and lost the knife. I'm looking for another just like it.
