The 3.5" Bug works great Texas rigged for flipping and pitching. I have caught no less than 3 largies every time I have been out, the biggest a 19" 3.50 lb. Today I caught a limit averaging 15 in. in less than six hrs. on the okie dokie color. Also I have just been learning how to flip and pitch, I could only imagine how well these would work for someone with a lot of experience fishing this style.

What do bass think this weird looking bait resembles? Whatever they see, they really like. My favorite presentation is on a 4/0 swimbait hook with red glass bead between the lure and a 1/8th oz. bullet so the bead knocks against the hookeye.
Neon red with silver bottom brings them in prespawn and even on the beds.

The biffle bugs have incredible action. They also seem to get hung up less than other jig trailers. Maybe it is the ribbed body. They also work great when fished t-rigged. The blackberry sapphire is my favorite when paired on black/blue jig.

Whether you throw it on a swing hook football jib, like the Hardhead or Deflection jig, or if you fish it texas rigged, it is a fish producer. Easily my top producer this year. I like the 4.25 inch for buggin' and the 3.5 inch for pitching. This bait fills a great gap between a creature bait and a jig. I stopped throwing my beaver style baits completely. Just an all around good bait. Thanks Tommy for designing it and thank you George for pouring it!
