better action than other creature baits
The two arms (pincers) on the Biffle Bug flap wildly on the fall, resulting in many reaction strikes. They flap again if you hop it, drag it, or reel it along the bottom. I haven't used the smaller size yet, but it should be dynamite on both largemouth and smallmouth, especially the latter, or when the fish want a smaller presentation. The Biffle Bug is my favorite creature bait or craw imitation. I think it is easily equal to or superior to the Sweet Beaver.

Biffle buggin's not for me!
I bought two packs of these and bought the weighted football head EWG hooks to go with them. I just had to try them a year or so ago when Tommy Biffle won in Oklahoma Biffle buggin' across the bottom!
I've had very limited success with these baits. I've tried them as a lighter alternative to football head jigs and drug them near the banks around riprap in the early spring. I have absolutely no confidence in the bait and don't see the reason for the high price, other than an Elite BASS pro uses them on tour.
Maybe other folks have had success and can offer tips, but in my opinion you're better off buying BPS beaver baits and flippin them versus payin a high price for these and strugglin'!

Wish the Hook Sizes would Match the Bug
"I'm a Smallmouth River Rat LOL ! So I Ordered The Smaller 3.5 New Biffle Bug Jr. The Smaller Size I feel would work Better in Rivers Here In the Ozarks.. Then the Flood Came In Late Summer of 2013 Lots of Flow and Need More Weight to Get the Bait Down to the Bottom. The 3/16 with 3/O Hook works with the New Size but when You have to go up to bigger 5/16 or More they Made the Hook 4/O and is Kinda big for the 3.5 Bug ..I Just wish Gene Larew Made a Larger Size weight with that 3/O Hook. Just a over Site On there Part ..."
