whenever i buy a new reel, putting one of these handles is the FIRST thing i do ......i love the ribbed grip, and the size of the handle...
i also saw mention of them not fitting Shimano reels, and the cap retainer being misaligned....
they DID fit my old Shimano reels nicely.....
but, i HAVE ran across one or 2 that had a hole that wouldn't line up properly, and i had to do a little drilling/filing....
i could have simply sent them back, but is was such an easy fix, i didn't bother....
i DO think that $11 is a bit steep....

A very good product! Old handle on a good reel had worn out and needed replacing! Easy and comfortable grip, smoothe operation and easily installed! I would reccomend it to anyone needing a replacement handle on a favorite reel!

The Bass Pro Shop Catolog for this item says it will work with Shimano Reels, but when I received it, the package the reel handle came in did not mention Shimano. I had to jury rig a cap for the reel handle using one from an old reel and silicone gel.
Your description above shows Shimano as a brand which works with this reel handle, but I can tell you it doesn't.

This handle will not fit an Abu Garcia 4600 reel. Opening at center of handle is undersized and screws provided are too short.
