Great pike bait! This is a great bait for pike when you match it up with a 1/2 oz shad style jig head. You can cast it a mile and etreive it fairly quickly without getting hung up in the weeds too badly. Give it a try! DJ September 10, 2012
swim bait "I like this bait when it is tough out and they just won't hit big baits. You can throw it in grass, rocks, points, docks, etc. It is very versatile and for me it is best on braid when fishing for stripper I would like it see it with some more realistic eyes on it. This is a great choice on a swim jig as well, and not everyone is doing that for sure." July 30, 2012
Reliable bite I like this bait when it is tough out and they just won't hit big baits. You can throw it in grass, rocks, points, docks, etc. It is very versatile and for me it is best on lighter line and spinning gear. The only downfall to me is that I would like it see it a tad thinner and with some more realistic eyes on it. This is a great choice on a swim jig as well, and not everyone is doing that for sure. Great swimbait I think this plastic swimbait works perfect when rigged weedless. It has plenty of action which bass just cant resist. July 29, 2011

Use an owner, big hammer, or yamamoto swim bait jig. The yamamoto swimbaits are solid and won't collapse well when using a swimbait hook. I like the big hammer ones with the eyes. 1/2 oz to 1oz size.

"Usually" the colors that are natural in appearance are best in clear water and those that are dark and give a good profile or bright and are visible are best in stained water.

For stained go with one of the darker colors and for clear water go with what best matches your baitfish.

In clearer water 05 or 06 would be a natural choice to imitate bluegill. In stained water 08 or 18 provides a more defined profile and would be a good choice. If you have real clear water and some sun, 31 wouldn't be a bad color to try in addition to 05 and/or 06. Good luck.
