The Gary Yamamoto Shibuki (Japanese for 'Splash'
) Popper is a concave-faced popper that's small in stature, but the lure packs a big punch. Use this popper to move as much water as you like with a simple twitch or pull of your rod. A subtle action can make it barely disturb the surface. A downward yank can spray water for a long distance. Features include premium color schemes and sticky-sharp hooks. Two sizes allow you to imitate a fleeing baitfish or to draw wary fish out of the gnarliest cover.

I was anxious to use this popper because I thought the color schemes were great and they had a black popper which looked great for low light conditions. I bought 2 in each color and my review determined that:
The hooks (like most poppers) need to be switched out but you need to switch to a strong light wire because weighing this bait down any hurts the popping.
The lack of feather tail I think hurts the overall bite.
The face of the popper is very small and if you twitch/snap your rod aggressively, it will not pop correctly.
It should "spit" more than it does and I know it is important to throw it on light floating line, which I did.
I still think the BPS XPS Popper with switched out trebles is the best. It is only $6.99 too.
