A breed apart, the Gary Yamamoto D-Shad is an attention-getting, soft plastic jerkbait with a streamlined body that produces a side-to-side twitching action. The tail, however, is thicker and heavier than the body. So on the retrieve, when you kill the bait, it sinks level and gives any hungry onlookers a little shimmy. Try it weightless by itself for twitching, but it works equally well on a Carolina rig—or behind a "Chatterbait" or "Scrounger." Regardless of how you decide to use the D-Shad, you’re going to be impressed with this bait’s effectiveness. Made in USA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Striped bass bait! I use the smoked and olive colors for striped bass, they seem to match the hatch in my area! They don't last as long as other baits, but they work! It's always nice to have a few in the tackle box, when all else fails, these are usually good for one or two fish! April 3, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Great bait.....if fished weightless This bait worked well for me as long as the conditions allowed me to fish them weightless. When the wind kicked up or I needed to weight up the bait to get it deeper, its effectiveness decreased significantly. September 26, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice action. Bad durability The d-shad is a versatile bait that you can swim through the water then let fall. Caught a lot of fish on these baits, but they don't hold up well. Often time after landing one nice fish the bait is shredded. Overall I like the performance just wish the would hold up better June 20, 2012
