My preferred swim bait
I like this in the 5" model and I stock several colors in my box. Works well on the Mississippi and Missouri rivers for multiple species. Works great in lakes to.
It's a large bait and I have caught largemouth, white bass, hybrid bass and walleye on them so far.
Unfortunately, you can't get a good jig head in the freshwater section. Check out the saltware section for the Offshore Angler® Shad Jigheads. I used them in the 1/2 and 3/4 ounce sizes unpainted.
You also might want to pre-rig and use a little crazy glue/fishing glue/worm glue on the jig head as you make up your jigs. Found that after a couple fish that you don't have the problem with the bait sliding down the hook that way.

A Great Lure
I caught one of my first bass on this lure.I fish this on a 3/8oz jighead. You should fish this over rockbeds.

These baits are very easy to rig on a long shank 1/8oz jig (basspro ProJig). the body has enough width to thread easily, and flat back makes it easy to center hook. These work great on an A-Rig! Although the body is a little tough/stiff, the tail does have great action. I found if the bite is short though, 2 or 3 tugs and the tail comes off.
Color variety is very good, I like the clear/black. Used recently and caught 1 Smallie, 1 White bass, and 13 LM all in one 4 hour outting.
