Gary Yamamoto Shad Shape Worm have been proven on California lunkers, and are quickly becoming a sensation throughout the U.S. Healthy Profile, salt-impregnated, nice smooth-and-even fall rate—the Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits—Shad Shape Worm is the perfect tournament bait.
I found that fishing this bait weightless, on 4/0 Gamakatsu Sikp Gap hook works well on bass. It has a slow fish catching fall, and is weedless. Watermelon Black Red Flake, and Blue Pear/ Silver are colors that caught fish.

Many uses fit it...
It's a great tiny bait !
Of course it works very well on drop shot rig, but you would miss a lot if you don't try it on mini jigs or for sight fishing : split shot 3/32 oz, nose rigged or wacky rigged on a drop shot gamakatsu hook #4, with 4 lbs line on finesse gear for spooky finicky big bass....
Try it that way ! You'll enjoy catching fish like that...

I use this bait on shaky head rigs in rivers in Korea for bass and it has now replaced "regular" worms for most of my fishing. The only issue is that being from Yamamoto, they're very soft and don't last. I feel that it's a small price to pay for getting so many bites.
I concur that the smoke color works best (at least for me).

Rig it on a 5/0 EWG hook. No weight. Just tie the hook on the line. Heave it out anywhere, esp. in wood, let it fall on slack line. Feel for the "tick" or watch to see the line "swim" off. Reel down to feel it and swing!
