Rated 3 out of 5 by obayb Not best purchase ever
I have used this product on 5 seperate fishing trips. Had problems mounting the transducer in a location to get clear water to it. On the forth try it now locks on to the bottom while running but loses the bottom in less than 3.5 feet of water. Will not reset even with the motor shut down, must reboot. Waypoints only allow 8 number/letters for names. Unit vibrates excessivly in rough water. Expensive for what you get. I guess it's ok but I have had better. Add on cards are expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sgtpunisher Powerfull Package!!
This chartplotter is a very powerfull tool. Great for coastal navigation and inland waterways. To get the best of both worlds, I also purchased the inland lakes DVD and I get bayometric data for most all lakes in the contintal US. The display can be seen in direct sunlight and has many features. WORTH THE MONEY!!

I bought this unit about a month ago in the doral store, the associates were very helpful in explaining how everything worked. I have used it probably about 6 or 7 times already and it is very user friendly, I also purchased the Sirius Satellite for the unit so now it gives me live weather up dates and i live radar so i can know where the rain is at so i can fish all day without getting wet. Installation only took me 30 mins very easy to use and install. And the sonar is amazing great quality you can see everything on the bottom

The web page for the subject gps implies that Blue Chart g2 marine cartography is bulit into the device; however, under "product description" the statement is made that "Accepts BlueChart g2 Vision® cards (not included)".Are these different technologies?

The unit does not include the blue chart, but it has a very detailed chart already, the only thing the blue chart does is give you an exact line to follow, with out the chip it it will lead you through shallows and land, but any experienced will know just to navigate around the shallow or land. you really don't need the chip on my 21 foot Mako this unit has giving me no problems i highly recommend1 of 1
