Not much of a scope, but good enough for what I am using it for. The rifle/scope combo will hold about a quarter sized grouping at 30 ft without a bench. Rodents in the yard don't stand a chance.

I got this recently when it went on sale for $149. It's a good rifle, but I don't think it's worth the normal price of $200+. The scope is junk. It might be fine if you're only shooting at large objects like coke cans, but it cannot hold a zero, and that becomes noticeable on smaller targets. The gun itself is relatively quiet, though not "silent" or anything. Accuracy of the gun with iron sights is decent at best. Not great, but no awful. Approx 2" groups at 25 yards is as good as I could do, with most groups in the 3" range. But it's very lightweight, easy to handle, very cool looking, easy to use, and just overall a very, very cool little rifle. I'm glad I bought it for $150, but I don't think the gun shoots well enough to justify a price tag above that.

Out of the box the scope is not able to be sited in too much vibration and cheep scope. After 30 rounds our rear open site loosened and it is not able to keep it sited in. The gun has lots of vibration. Gamo just want to sell you replacement site that does not work either. Also Gamo's solution is buy a good scope. Of course Gamo does not know of any issues with the Silent Cat's site or scope. Its all over the internet review of the Silent Cat with these problems. If you do not want open sites and are ready to buy a scope that is as much $ as the rifle it is a good gun . But only if your prepared to correct scope and site issues.

Very nice gun. The pin in the bottom of the scope mount basically had the scope perfectly aligned left to right, only needed to make height adjustments. It is a little load at first but does quiet down after several shots.

I would not use them for fear of premature wear of the barrel. Soft lead pellets will not do this.

I have only shot about 100 rounds through it but it sounds and feels like a solid air rifle. It would be a good first rifle for a mature person due to the power it has and the potential for serious injury if used incorrectly. So far no work has been required

This gun is a very reliable gun. I haven't really used the sights. I got the combo pack that came with the scope. The scope works very well. I would recomend this gun as a first timer. Its so simple and easy and there isnt really any work you have to do with it at all besides sighting in and occational wipe off from getting it muddy.A:
