These Gamakatsu® Weedless Finesse Wide Gap Hooks are top-quality hooks specifically designed for the way you fish!

Gamakatsu Weedless Finesse Wide Gap Hook 4.5 5 49 49
OKAY The weed guard is fine until you start throwing it. After about 6 or more throws in starts to lose it's ability to stay on the tip and will twist out of shape. As for the hook it's self... no problem. September 8, 2014
super for waky worms used in Colorado as well as Louisiana, never missed a hook up! Can't be any better. August 1, 2014
Best weedguard of any in this style hook I've tried lots of weedless hooks for wacky rigging a senko and fishing right in wood, pads, etc. This is by far THE BEST wacky hook one on the market. I rarely get stuck because of the guard failing. It will pop off on occasion so you have to keep an eye on it as with any other weedguard, but much less than any other. This hook also has the best hookup of all those I tried. For northern LM bass, I like a 2/0 on a 5" senko and for SM bass a 1/0 on 4" senko. June 27, 2014
excellent seinko hook I have tried many seinko and trick worm hooks and find the Gamakatsu weedless wide gap to work great. It is very sharp and the weed guard works good in the hydrilla. April 29, 2014

A:
Definately below the bard. This helps hold it in place to be weedless in hydrilla.

A:
on the hook point. If you put it on the barb, there is a chance that the weed guard may not open.

2/0, 3/0 or 4/0.........If you rig the worm under some type of band wrapped around the center of the worm. If you rig the worm through the body center use the 4/0.

For weightless Texas rigging I use a 2/0 Gamakatsu Skipjack hook fished on 10lb flourocarbon on a spinning rod. When fishing a baitcaster I use 12-14lb flouro and a 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu.

When wacky rigging, I use a 1/0 Gamakatsu Weedless Finesse Wide Gap hook.
