Gamakatsu Weedless Finesse Wide Gap Hook 4.5 5 49 49
Just the best! Ok gamakatsu you are great these weedless hooks work great for wackyworming and they are also great I have found for live bait for sunfish and bass around weeds and sticks. I have a whole bunch of gamakatsu on the way being shipped now.....cant wait to hit the water with that new shipment! I also included some pictures of fish the gamakatsu hooks have recently caught me. August 21, 2010
hard A little hard to manipulate the wire guard. and get it on the hook. Seems to hook fish OK January 27, 2011
Great Hook This is a great hook for wacky worm, lets you cast it anywhere April 14, 2010
Wacky Wormin' I recently purchased these hooks because I wacky rig a lot, due to the vegatation in my local lakes my rigs were getting hung up and my hooks were always pulling up milfoil. These hooks solved that problem! I can come through weedbeds without getting hung up. These hooks are also a time saver, I would waste so much time cleaning the vegatation off my hooks that I lost at least a 30-50 minutes a day. No more with these new hooks, they will save you fishing time and they are pretty durable. I would definetely recommened these hooks especially if you wacky rig. I prefer hook sizes 2 and 1 they are just right to land that lunker! June 10, 2006

A:
The perfect hook for weedless wacky rigging stick baits, like the Yamamoto Senko, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iav0iw7w0dM#t=109. Below the barb. Thanks!

A:
Definately below the bard. This helps hold it in place to be weedless in hydrilla.

A:
on the hook point. If you put it on the barb, there is a chance that the weed guard may not open.

2/0, 3/0 or 4/0.........If you rig the worm under some type of band wrapped around the center of the worm. If you rig the worm through the body center use the 4/0.

A:
For weightless Texas rigging I use a 2/0 Gamakatsu Skipjack hook fished on 10lb flourocarbon on a spinning rod. When fishing a baitcaster I use 12-14lb flouro and a 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu.

When wacky rigging, I use a 1/0 Gamakatsu Weedless Finesse Wide Gap hook.
