  • Stainless steel construction
  • Unique design
  • Allows a full range of movement
Gamakatsu's stainless steel Tournament Snaps are intended primarily for use on lures for bass, walleye, salmon, stripers, steelhead, trout, panfish, and other species. Features a full range of movement while enhancing the effectiveness of whatever lure is used. Unlike other snaps, this one will not open accidentally. Because the lure eye is threaded onto the snap, the snap remains closed at all times.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy once you get the hang of it. I use these and Norman Speed Clips (NSC). The Gamakatsu Tourney Snaps (GTS) work very easily on most lures. The only issue I've had with them is they are hard to get on some of the smaller or less detailed eyes on jigs. For those I use a NSC to connect to my swivel. You have to remember when taking these on or off that you move the lure around the clip, not the clip around the lure. Check out YouTube and search for GTS, there are a few vids on it. Overall a good product for quickly switching out lures. I even put a single EWG hook on the end of mine to go with a weightless Texas rig when needed. These are a bit pricey at $7 for 10 but time is money if you're tying off instead of fishing. September 6, 2014
