Perfectly suited for windy conditions or turbulent water where it's difficult to keep a tight line, this high-quality Gamakatsu® Split Shot/Drop Shook Hook is ideal for rigging small live baits, nose-hooking soft plastics or even "wacky wormin'". Gamakatsu's advanced tempering process ensures a strong, but not brittle hook with a perfectly conical point that is unequaled in sharpness.

Gamakatsu drop shot hook This is the best drop shot hook that I have ever used . I have tried other brands, but the Gamakatsu brand works the best. This product ,I would recommend to anyone, I think it is one of the best fish hooks made. October 16, 2013
THE Drop Shot Hook Always have been a big Gammy hook fan and the same for this hook. Lightweight yet strong and sticky sharp. They cost a little more, but are certainly worth it. Since drop shot hooks run a little small, I find the 2/0 best for large mouth, with a 4" worm - the fish hook themselves.... Get some. June 11, 2013
A hook that will stick them A bit pricey, but worth every cent. We cry over lost big fish, with this hook the odds move in your favor June 1, 2013
ideal for drop shotting love this hook, light wire hook is very strong, perfect for drop shotting May 22, 2013

#1 is bigger. The lower number means a bigger hook.

So ... 4/0 is bigger than 2/0 is bigger than 0 is bigger than 1 is bigger than 4 ... etc.

A:
2/0, larger hook sizes seem to prevent fish from swallowing baits and causing harm to the fish caught

I like the size 2 drop shot hooks ... because the point isn't bent in (like on the circle hooks) and they seem to miss fewer fish. I don't use any drop shot though.

I tried some number 4's and felt like I missed a couple more fish ... hard to tell for sure. But the size 2 are working great for me.

Do you use an o-ring - they're a great way to prolong the life of a senko for all day long...

The 2/0 should be all that you need for worm type baits in the 4 to 5in. range.

you could but if you are using dough bait you would need to use a treble hook or a hook with a spring around the shank. good luck!
