Gamakatsu® Siwash Open Eye Hooks 5 5 1 1
really good hooks! This year the rules and regulations demand that we use a single, non offset, barbless hook on all lures! Specifically for striped bass! So the only hooks I could find around here were these! They are not rated for salt water, but I've been using them for the entire season, and the have some tiny bit of rust on them, but nothing even worth mentioning! Also I must say that after every fishing trip to the salt water, I rinse all my lures in fresh water along with all my tackle and rods and reels, that may be the reason that there is very little rust on the hooks! By doing this, it seems that the finishes last a bit longer on my lures, but once you've caught a few dozen fish on a lure, it's pretty much toast, but until them I clean them off! I pinch back the barbs and there ready to go! Easy to put on and they work very well! I don't see any change in the way my lures run, just a few little tweaks and that's it! It took a little getting use to them, the first few fish was different, but then it was just as good, even better than trebles! just as many hook ups and a breeze to release! The best part of all, they are super easy to remove from ones hand! Try then there one good hook! August 26, 2014
