I usually use 5/0 or 6/0 Octopus or Siwash hooks for Salmon and Tuna fishing in the Northwest. Most of our fish are at least 20 pounds and over 2 feet long.While the short shank may limit the tying of Egg Loops, this could be a good hook to put behind a Buzz Bomb.
